このNorse Mythologyも本人の朗読作品です。
小説も上手で朗読も上手ってどんなに才能に恵まれているのでしょうか。
プロの声優ではないので、美声とは言えないかも。でもすごく味わいのある声だし、独特の雰囲気があって素敵な朗読です。
「アメリカンゴッズ」にも「サンドマン」にもオーディンやロキが登場するので、きっとニール・ゲイマンは北欧神話好きなんだろうなとは思っていました。
でも自分で本を書いちゃうくらい好きとは。しかも前書きで「好きになったきっかけはマイティ・ソー」と言ってて、それでいいのか・・・と思いました。
そこはトールキンとかでなくていいのか。アメコミでいいのか。そうかいいのか。いいんだな自分に正直になって。
ところでこのタイトル日本語に直訳すれば「北の神話」なのに、どうしてイギリス人には「北欧」ってことになるんでしょう？
イングランドの北なら「北イングランド神話」（ヨークシャーあたり？）とかもう少し北上して「スコットランド神話」にはならないの？
と、書いてから念のために辞書を引いたら
